Discover Hidden Corners of Historic Parks and Gardens

The National Heritage Institute (NPÚ) invites the public to the Weekend of Open Gardens, offering a unique opportunity to explore the hidden corners of historic parks and gardens across the Czech Republic.

This nationwide event opens the doors to places that are normally inaccessible or only partially open to visitors. It highlights the cultural, historical, and horticultural value of garden architecture and landscape design as an integral part of the country’s heritage.

Visitors will be able to discover a wide range of sites—from carefully restored aristocratic gardens and monastery grounds to lesser-known green spaces that reflect centuries of development in landscape design. Guided tours, expert commentary, and accompanying programs will help reveal the stories behind these places and the ongoing care required for their preservation.
