Applying for financial support from the Regeneration of Heritage Reservations and Zones Programme

1st Step

The owner-applicant visits the department of heritage management in the relevant municipal authority, and seeks out the officer in charge of the Regeneration of Heritage Reservations and Zones Programme.

NB: It is necessary to lodge requests by the 15th November every year to utilise resources in the following year.

2nd Step

The applicant will be registered on a list of applicants.

3rd Step

After the allocation of the corresponding financial quota by the Ministry of Culture’s committee the relevant town (municipal) authority evaluates the requests made by applicants and recommends the allocation of financial resources for the renovation of selected cultural monuments.

4th Step

After the Ministry of Culture has approved the 3rd Step, the owner-applicant will be called upon by the relevant officer from the town (municipal) authority to submit the documents required to accompany the application.

NB This program only concerns towns and neighbourhoods with designated Heritage Reservations or Zones.
