Immovable historic sites and objects represent the best-known and most impressive part of the heritage fund of the Czech Republic. Apart from castles, historic country houses and other national heritage sites, there are, in particular, many churches and religious buildings that belong in this category, furthermore a high percentage of town architecture, village architecture and other buildings in the countryside, as well as many other specific types of buildings - industrial, technical, military, etc. Significant subsets of immovable cultural objects include the so-called minor structures, especially country chapels and calvaries, but also exterior sculptures and other sculptural works.

Immovable historic sites and objects, together with other sections of the heritage fund of the Czech Republic is protected by Act No. 20/1987 Coll., on State Heritage Preservation, as amended, are registered in the Central Register of Cultural Heritage.
